Following the huge success of the Dambusters Dinner last year, the second leg of the fundraising for the RAF Benevolent Fund is underway. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the famous raid, the April Fools Club is inviting 19 crews of seven cyclists to join them in undertaking the epic challenge of cycling from Lincolnshire to Germany.
5 days and 282 miles of cycling will see the cyclists depart from the RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire and end the day in Hull before taking an overnight ferry to Rotterdam. On the second day they will traverse the dutch cycleways and flats of Holland before crossing the border to Germany on day 3. On Day 4 the cyclists will follow the famous Rhine river towards Dortmund before a spectacular finish at the Mohne Dam and a triumphant journey home in a private jet.
The cyclists will be provided with professional on-road support in the form of back-up vehicles, four nights accommodation, three meals per day plus designated coffee and cake stops.
The bike ride will take place in May 2018, Sorores are excited to be involved and help raise more money for this incredible cause. For more information on getting involved, get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.dambusters75.co.uk
